Osteopathic Care

Fort Collins Osteopathic Medicine

Osteopathic physicians believe that all systems in the body are interrelated, each working with the others to heal in times of illness. By combining a physician’s knowledge of internal medicine with a holistic approach to hands-on treatments, Osteopathic doctors (DO’s) work to align the body correctly and activate the innate healing forces within each person.

Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine are fully licensed physicians who look beyond your symptoms to understand how lifestyle and environmental factors impact your wellbeing.

OSTEOPATHIC MANIPULATION THERAPY (OMT)

Our bodies can easily fall out of alignment, which contributes to small problems becoming larger ones in the form of muscle pains, migraines, uneven breath sounds, carpal tunnel, etc. During an OTM treatment, the doctor works to adjust the musculoskeletal system and restore the body back into its natural state. You may be familiar with similar techniques from having gone to physical or massage therapists and chiropractors.
